Together with Andrea Piccioni, the professional and passionate Tamburello player from Italy who has long wished for a light, easy-to-handle Tamburello with a convincing sound and yet one that is versatile in its use, we have developed in our workshop this special Tamburello with a perfect form and construction.

Because of its size, a diameter of 25 cm (10"), the conscious reduction of the jingles and the balanced recessed grip, a Tamburello has evolved that is all around harmonious.

The choice of the 7 forged and hand-hammered, fine jingle pairs that are specially burned, combined with the use of flexible goatskin produces a balanced Tamburello sound.

These jingles can be exchanged together or individually according to personal sound preference.

A perfectly constructed instrument has emerged, one that unites characteristics of an “original” Tamburello with a variety of additional tone colors and at the same time offers optimal handling.

The professional tuning mechanism of all ANKLANG^® Frame Drums allows here also fine modulations and also allows a fast professional tuning of the pitch of the hide.

A shaker is also available with the Tamburello that can be mounted instead of one jingle pair for a broader spectrum of sound possibilities.

The Tamburello “Andrea Piccioni signature” is a Tamburello full of creative possibilities waiting to be discovered.

We offer two models:

“soloist” – the smaller model for a variety of musical styles like Ancient Music, Pop or Fusion
“classic” – the larger model for traditional use in southern Italian Tamburello music

Jingles are individually exchangeable on both models.

It's an incredible instrument!
The skin and the frame are exactly like I need, the number of the jingles is perfect and the slots are very good far away to the skin. The tamburello has incredible bass sounds, really amazing, and it's possible to make a modulation of the tone like a good kanjira with all the properties of the best Italian Tamburello.

Shaker “special”   

We are offering a special Shaker for our Tamburelli and the Kanjiriqq that was developed because of a suggestion from the percussionist Andrea Piccioni: there is now a Shaker both for the single row jingle tambourine as well as for the double row models that can be mounted in the place of a jingle pair and makes a large variety of effects possible.

Please indicate for which Tambourin the Shaker is needed.
