Master Bodhrán   

The Master Bodhrán is a Bodhrán that is calibrated to the needs of the ambitious player.

This Bodhrán, because of its small frame which reduces the weight, and its 35 cm (14") diameter is remarkably light and easy to handle.

It is tunable with an Allen wrench system that is built into the tension ring. The upper tension ring of the Bodhrán is lined with wild leather which reduces the overtones making the taping of the edge of the skin unnecessary.

The full bass sound with the large modulation spectrum is made possible through the use of specially treated and extremely flexible hides. In the process the goat skin becomes very supple and flexible helping to give the Bodhrán its warm, full and dry sound.

The player of this instument will have in his hands a Bodhrán that is superbly crafted and one that is perfectly suited for playing with modern techniques.

We offer the Master Bodhran with frames of two different heights: 11 cm (4⅓") and 16 cm (6⅓").

The higher model is also available with an optional recessed clearance for easier handling and modulation during play (optional recessed clearance comes at no extra cost).
